BMI is misleading. You’re counting nearly every high school, collegiate, amateur or professional athlete in the country. Or are Lebron James and Michael Phelps overweight?

Correction. BMI can be misleading. Not IS misleading. Sure in the examples of high muscle mass athletes BMI is not exactly a great measure but for the average person it is a good indication of where you stand. The fact is these statistics are probably a great indication since if their was a country with so many pro athletes that the BMI statistic was actually dragging up the counties average wed know about it. As it turns out there is no country on the planet with that many high muscle mass athletes.
The fact is I have been to every country in the top 5 and the only one that surprises me here is Greece. The top three are very very obvious. Surprised to see the USA is only on 31% though.
PS. Who the hell is Lebron James? Hes certainly not internationally renowned. Never even heard the name before.

Eh…?
Germany at 13% and the czech republic at 15%? I’ve lived in both, and from my experience, in general, there were more obese people in Germany than in the CR (an observation mirrored by my aquaintances) Also, just recently a study showed Germans to be the most obese European people, so something definitly doesn’t add up here.
