Very well done, this strip. However… Intelligent design is, like it or not, a valid theory; not scientific, in that it cannot be tested, but String Theory cannot be tested either. Matter of fact, at present what we think we know about black holes cannot be tested, either.
I’d also like to point out to fundamentalist Christians in general that science is NOT absolute, unchangeable laws of the universe. If you remove the questionability from science, you remove the very essence of science. There used to be scientific evidence that the female brain was literally inferior in almost all ways to that of a male. Some of Aristotle’s teachings ASSUMED this was the case. The Nazis distributed flyers and pamphlets “proving” that Blacks were racially inferior to, not only “Aryans”, but all whites.
Science, thankfully, is winning the war on public opinion.

Dear King Wellington,
I propose that it might not be prudent nor in the best interest of your kingdom to take those things of technology that we know were designed by intelligent beings away from those of your loyal subjects who believe that all things were designed by intelligent beings.
Rather, I propose that you call together your magicians and scientists who believe in the Theory of Evolution and command them to test the Theory of Evolution according to the Scientific Method, and to separate those things that are actually science from those things that are merely speculation, science fiction, or religious in nature.
You may find that those who believe in the theory of Intelligent Design will be indispensable for that task for among them are good scientists who were once atheists who actually tested the Theory of Evolution by the Scientific Method and found that much of the so-called “science” that was promulgated by the evangelists of Evolutionary Theory could not stand up to the rigors of the Scientific Method. They found that the theory of evolution is founded on faith — that it requires belief in things that are not scientifically plausible even when you add in the magic of speculation about what may have happened in billions of years before any scientific observations or experiments were done. They have also found that the Theory of Evolution is being taught in schools in a way that discourages the young from testing the Theory of Evolution according to the Scientific Method. Textbooks and pop-science articles support the Theory of Evolution with “scientific” evidence that has been shown to be non-scientific, fraudulent, and bogus.
It is true that some proponents of Intelligent Design are not scientists. It is also true that some proponents of the Theory of Evolution are not scientists.
If your majesty is truly a supporter of Science, you would do well to listen to the scientific objections against the Theory of Evolution that are known by the scientists who no longer believe in the Theory of Evolution. Command your magicians and scientists to separate fact from fantasy so that the schools in your kingdom can actually teach real Science rather than continue teaching the religion of Evolutionary Theory. Don’t let your magicians and scientists continue to deceive you– the religion of Evolutionary Theory contains all the elements of religion that you despise (except God himself), but it is cloaked in “scientific” terminology. It’s time to call the bluff of the state parasites that continue to ask you for grants of money to fund “scientific research” that can not stand up to real scientific scrutiny.

@Charismatic Enigma: The thing that separates string theory (and black holes) and intelligent design (and white/male superiority) is that string theory, while not proven, has not been proven wrong, intelligent design on the other hand, has been proven wrong.
@Scientific Skeptic: I understand that there are some who blindly support evolution, but there are some people out there who actually do quality scientific research on the subject (we’ve actually witnessed bacterial evolution) and the theory was determined by analyzing the data, and coming up with a reasoning that fit. Intelligent design, however has been proven wrong, as stated above, and is based on the philosophy of “I know I’m right, and therefore all evidence to the contrary must be wrong.” You say that evolution uses as much faith as intelligent design, but you don’t give any examples of such; are you such a blind follower of intelligent design that you don’t even know why some people say that evolution is based on faith? Give me one example of faith within evolution and I might actually believe you.

It’s been quite a few months since your rambling and you still haven’t even bothered to respond to “The One Guy”… I guess you’re still trying to find one scrap of evidence in support of your delusional statement that “The Theory of Evolution is founded faith”. So would YOU like to test the “theory of evolution” yourself? – The beauty of science is that anyone can perform the experiment (although it is sometimes costly) as long as you have some idea of what you’re doing. Furthermore, the experiment can be repeated and the same result should be attained. So here’s what you do if you’re actually serious about evaluating the theory of evolution (it will be costly but you will have primary evidence seen as you don’t want to believe scientific articles): go to a university with a molecular biology department or a biotech company. Ask them to perform a DNA extraction and either sequence ALL your DNA (very expensive) or amplify certain genes (take your pick). Next, have the DNA sequenced. Then align your DNA sequence to other organisms sequences. The short of it is that chimpanzees DNA is roughly 97% the same as ours; other mammals e.g. swine, bovine, cats, dogs, mice around 80% (actually higher) and most impressive of all: that tiny-ass fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster) has 60% of the genes we do. Do you think this doesn’t “stand up to the rigours of the scientific method”??? Ever wondered why all mammals have a head with 2 eyes, a nose, mouth filled with teeth, ears, organs e.g. lungs, heart, blood, four limbs etc etc – they all function in the same way – every organ performs the same purpose! Open your eyes you retard!!!
So I’ve just mentioned a tiny bit of evidence FOR EVOLUTION (I could go on about pesticide & antibiotic resistance, adaptation to environment e.g. why sickle-cell anaemia is quite common in malaria infested areas BUT NOT in areas where there isn’t malaria blah blah blah…). Where’s your evidence against evolution? You made the statement, but don’t provide proof…. also, where’s your evidence for ID? – your 2000 year old book containing a smattering of fables and concepts for living. Let’s apply scientific method to your book. “God created the earth…”. I want god to come to earth and say that in-person, not through “inspiring” someone 2000 years ago. I also want to be shown with an actual demonstration. Guess what? Never gonna happen. God? God? Hello?… Lastly, ever heard of the “THEORY of gravity”? That’s right, a theory. Well how about you test that THEORY for us as well by jumping off a tall building, imbecile.
