2 + 4 + 8 + 16 + 32 + 64 + 128 + 256 + 512 + 1024 = ?

10 numbers for 10 pairs of years. The sum is 2046.

It&#039;s true that the 21st and 22nd years will change as if they were 2048 of our present years, because each number follows the pattern of 2^x. But when summing up the pattern, don&#039;t forget that it doesn&#039;t QUITE reach 2^(x+1).</description>
