Yah obama is a fag and all his supporters are tools. But hey, The One Guy, the whole "anyone's better than Bush" thing is mostly blind as well. People see his outtakes and assume he is terrible, and then when others say the same they feel validated and agree.

We would have gotten a MUCH better president if the Skull and Bones were involved in this one! Too bad they didn't mess with this one!

Lol I remember what everybody said the day of voting. They said they were going to stay up late "just to make sure" obama won. Like they would lose sleep over something as trivial as this stupid country's stupid "leader," if they weren't sure that the change fag won. Even so, the fact that they stay up to "make sure" doesn't change the outcome at all. It's just hilarious. I laughed in their faces when they said that.

And america might as well just change the democratic party into the socialist party. Hiel Hitler!

My biggest concern with is all the blind support Obama has just because he's black, or he supports "change," or because he isn't of the party that Bush happened to be in (cause of course, independents don't exist). Personally, I would have preferred McCain over Obama, but who'd I think would be the best candidate as well as vote for? Cynthia McKinny, the Green Party candidate (despite being a Libertarian myself; I didn't particularly like Barr). No, I don't hate Obama, and I do expect him to do fairly well (in any case anyone's better than Bush), but I just don't get all the enthusiasm surrounding him.

It looks like the election has mostly gone in your favor. However the Bradley Effect did happen with the convicted Ted Stevens. He got elected again even though he's recently become a convicted felon. The polls in Alaska were in favor of his opponent, but Alaskans like the sneaky maverick enough to lie to the pollsters. Other than that Hope won.

I'm more worried by what the 'Bradley Effect' might be used to hide - the shear number of votes that might not be counted could be terrifyingm and hiding behind things like Bradley just gives an excuse for ignoring far worse problems. Polling was good enough to get the elections in Ukraine re-held, but for some reason the US seem to think that their count (or lack of count) gives an accurate result...

Greg Palast has been writing about this since Florida in 2000 - http://www.truthout.org/110308A

Yeah... I don't think either party has a great candidate. But then, I've thought that for 20 years.

Of course, as Joe says, but different, I'm in a state that always goes Republican. And I seriously doubt it'll be any different this year. And I don't have any idea who'll I'll be voting for, yet. I still have to decide which candidate I dislike the least ;)

<a href="http://iowahawk.typepad.com/iowahawk/2008/10/balls-and-urns.html" rel="nofollow">Polls</a> <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradley_effect" rel="nofollow">schmolls</a>.

Personally, I'm frightened by both parties. Republicans, for the obvious reasons. Democrats, because I just don't know what Obama will do. He can't dodge issues by voting "present" anymore. And, internet rumors aside, there are still plenty of scary things about the man.

I choose to dislike Obama without respect to race, just as I choose to be wary of Palin without respect to gender (or accent).

*sigh* Not that my vote matters. My state <i>always</i> goes with the Democratic party, whether I agree or not. I think I'll give my vote to an independent, just to thumb my nose at the two parties.

"polls always favor democrats because more democrats actually take part in polls in the first place."

Um, the polls adjust for unbalanced participation in polls, if such exists. Polls are a lot more complicated than just asking questions and tallying the numbers.

As for election maps, my favourite is electoral-vote.com ; the news summary each day is a time-saver. Lots more graphs if you click on the links, if it feels bare compared to 538. :)
